2020: Sailing the Atlantic with SY Ambra:
In 2020, we set sail aboard our new Swan 48, SY Ambra, marking the continuation of our global exploration. After spending two years in the Med, we got to know Ambra and we were ready for the next adventure. Starting from Scarlino, Italy, in 2022 we ventured along the stunning Italian coast and islands, navigating the Gulf of Messina. Our journey led us to Malta, Sicily, Sardinia, Menorca, Mallorca, and Ibiza before reaching Gibraltar. September saw us preparing for the Atlantic crossing from the Canary Islands, culminating in our arrival in St. Lucia in December 2022. Post-holiday season, we explored the Windward and Leeward Islands, adding vibrant chapters to our seafaring saga.
Our Path Since 2013: Aboard SY Victoria:
Our cruising odyssey commenced in 2013 aboard SY Victoria, a 43-foot Hallberg Rassy, navigating waters and lifestyles less traveled. Departing from the Baltic Sea after two transformative years, our quest for ultimate freedom and adventure took us across the Nord-Ostsee Canal, the North Sea, English Channel, and the Atlantic Coast into the Mediterranean. A sojourn through Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Greece, and Turkey unfolded, each port telling a unique story. In 2019, we bid farewell to the beloved Victoria, leaving behind a trail of unforgettable memories.
As we look ahead to 2024, our sails are set for new horizons, promising an expedition rich in discovery and wonder.
