We are absolutely thrilled!
Hello from Tahiti…

Watching all the private boats arrive after weeks of crossing the Pacific is incredible – there’s something special in the air here. The atmosphere is amazing, the temperatures are perfect, there’s a reef right in front of us, and we topped it all off with fresh tuna for lunch.

Paradise is off to a pretty spectacular start!
If you like smooth roads… this is not for you. We bounced our way through Tahiti’s valleys and mountains, got a free mud treatment, a little rain shower, and some of the most incredible views we’ve ever seen. 10/10 would get shaken around again!

Hiva Oa: Every long-distance sailor dreams of the Marquesas, located in the South Pacific Ocean, approximately 1,500 kilometers northeast of Tahiti. This time, we arrived by plane – but waking up aboard our friends’ beautiful Perini Navi, Serendipity I, still feels like a dream.

And what a welcome … three giant manta rays gliding beneath the boat on our first day at anchor. Pure magic.
One day we’ll sail here ourselves. Until then, we’re soaking up every unforgettable moment.

Where jungle-covered peaks meet sea-carved cliffs and every beach tells a different story, Hiva Oa feels like the edge of the world. From white and black sand shores to ancient moss-covered tiki and mysterious petroglyphs, this Marquesan island is a place to disconnect and reconnect with what matters.

It’s easy to see why Paul Gauguin chose to call this paradise home. Stay for the sunsets, the sweetest mangoes, and the timeless spirit of the South Pacific.

There are passages you complete… and passages that stay with you forever.

Fatu Hiva, you were worth every mile. Fair winds, 50 shades of green, wild goats and horses, endless blue skies, the Pacific at its very best, and a crew that made every watch, every sunrise, and every mile unforgettable.

So many impressions- it’s hard to put them into words.

Life aboard SV Serendipity keeps reminding me that the best moments are the ones you could never plan. Yesterday, we were surrounded by what felt like 200 dolphins dancing around our tender – a pinch-me kind of moment I’ll never forget.

Tomorrow, we set sail for the next island , Nuku Hiva, chasing new hidden anchorages, and whatever adventures the wind has in store. Feeling incredibly grateful for this journey and every memory it’s giving us.
